Here are a few more easy crafts that are great for young children. And as I mentioned earlier my crafts are usually made out of things that are really cheap or free, remember my motto " its not what you have its what you make out of it"! Below are a few crafts I call noise makers! They are fun ans easy to do and you can use them for parties, a parade, or even just for the fun of it! Noise Makers SUPPLIES: *tiolet paper tube *paper *beans or rice *tape *twist tie or some kind of string First you take the paper and the tube, next you will tape the edge of the paper to the tube and roll it up. Next tie one end up, fill about a fouth of an inch with beans or rice and tie up the other end, decorate it and you have a shaker! Tamborines *2 paper plates *yarn *bells *hole punch (scissors will work) *scissors First you want to cut off a long piece of yarn then you need to place you paper plates towards each other and put a whole through them, take the yarn and lace it through and tie it off to hold it in place. Then continue to punch wholes around the outside edge then lace the yarn almost all the way around leaving a place to fit the bells in through. Put the bells in lace it up tie it off and decorate it. Hours of noisy fun! Halloween Crafts Bats *black construction paper *scissors *glue * google eyes First you'll need to trace around your childs hands(both hands) or your own, then you need to cut out a medium size oval for the body and a small circle for the head. You caan also cut out a couple small triangles for ears(really small!). Then you just glue a cutout hand on both sides of the oval and then glue the head and ears on. Add the eyes and let dry. If you don't have any google eyes you can just cut it out of white paper, hang to display. You can also do the same thing but cut the thumbs off and no ears to make a SPIDER. Ghostly Suckers *coffee filters *suckers *black marker *twist tie or black yarn Take your sucker and a coffee filter and place the sucker in the middle and cover the sucker with the filter tie it off right below the head of the sucker put a face on it. Great for school parties. Pretzel Wands *bag of pretzel rods *orange chocolate or white w/food color *black sprinkles Take your chocolate and melt it. Dip you pretzel rods about 1/4 of the way into the chocolate, roll in black sprinkles, let dry and enjoy Yummy Mummies *hot dog * refirgerated cresent dough or breadstick dough Take the hot dog and a some dough cut into strips and wrap the dog til it looks like a mummy and bake. Melted Whitches *white chocolate morsels *milk chocolate morsels *Bugles *Oreo's *pretzel sticks *fruit roll-up *coconut *yellow food color First take your coconut and add the yellow food color to it mix well. Then take your pretzel sticks and a friut roll-up, you only need enough to wrap around the end of the pretzel stick, then take scissors and frey(cut lines in it) the ends so it looks like a broom. Next you'll need to set out a bunch of Oreo's then you need melt your milk chocolate. After that take your Bugles in the chocolate and place on top of the cookie, it may need a dab on the cookie to help stick. When you hace your hats finished you will need to melt the white chocolate. You will need some kind of wax paper of foil layed out. Then take a spoon of white chocolate and make a puddle, set the Oreo on top, put the broom to the side of the hat and place the coconut around the hat for the hair. Let dry for a little while. They are definately an eye catcher and who said candy making was for Christmas!!

Have the kids glue them to create different pictures and you can cut out eye, ears, nose, mouth, ect. and have them create funny portraits and don't for get the body! *old magazines & sales adds *cardboard boxes(shoe,tissue,or bigger) *glue *scissors *paper Take the boxes and cover them with the paper. Then have the kids go through the magazines and adds and pick out what they want on their house. Cut it out and glue it on. *old magazines & sales adds *glue *tiolet paper tubes *scissors Now this is where you make your people and trees. You go through and make your people and glue them to the tubes so they stand up, and you do the same with trees. If you can't find trees just find brown and green and cut and glue differnt pieces even if they are darker or lighter. It will just add to the character. Now you have a whole village can also turn the tubes on their side and put cars on them. And now that your started I'm sure you can think of a hundred more things! |
